Having said that - please forgive the hand shots - yes, I do need a manicure (desperately).
The purple is food colouring from making sugar cookies with the girls yesterday and the rest of the damage is just age and crafting abuse.
--------------------
You can use wrapping paper to make these, but having a pattern on both sides really makes it - so fold your wrap in half and glue it down before cutting your strips.
Alternatively, Stampin' Up (which I used here) has double sided paper with different patterns on each side.
Both will turn out adorably and will give your gifts that little extra personalized touch.
Now fill them with cookies and deliver to friends!
Origami box tutorial here.
Have a great one!

That is beautiful! This is a great project to do to use up all the scraps from my other scrapbooking projects.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea!
DeleteThis looks so nice and think of all the different ways to create.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the easy instructions.

I know! I love varying up the colour combinations with different papers!
DeleteThanks for checking out the blog!
I just got into shellacking my nails with my manicure and I have to say, I am a fan. Try it. Incredibly toxic stuff… but so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI've tried it and I agree - the longevity is amazing - however, it left my nails incredibly thin and brittle afterwards. Took months to get their strength back.
DeleteWow, love it! I made a lot of these about 3 years ago from a magazine article. I did NOT use a brad which will make it much easier. Thanks for the tip! I also used magazines (think holiday pottery barn issues with lots of texture and color) and I have even made them out of newspaper. The ones from magazines are neat because of the glossy paper. Thanks for the tutorial!
ReplyDeleteBRILLIANT! I will be making some from magazines today! Fantastic idea - thanks for sharing!
