Ornament Wish Lists

As we were setting up the tree the other day I found this:
The girls had a giant playdate last year and I had all the kids make these little booklets to take home.
Inside was a list of the things they wanted most from Santa.

I haven't come across the girls' booklets yet, so I'll show you mine.

I don't remember Santa coming through for me on that wish?
I must have been bad.
Which is far more fun anyways.

I thought the idea was so cute, we should continue with it again this year.

I changed up the colour to match our bold and beautiful tree.

Cut your cover slightly larger than the pages.

Fold in half and punch a hole in the top corner for hanging.

I made a new date tag.
And I wanted something on the pages themselves, but nothing too bright - I didn't want the image to overshadow the words.

I used a little champagne mist ink and poured it onto a kleenex to create my own stamp pad.
 Just dab;
and it gives you a really pretty, but not overpowering, imprint.
We can write right over top of the snowflakes.

I glammed up the covers with some chipboard letters and Voila!

We just have to insert what we hope for most - be it in writing (or for the girls) through drawings or clippings from magazines.

We'll be able to look back on this and smile.
I'm pretty sure my wish list this year will be the same as last years….
and as long as Santa didn't see those Twister sheets I might even stand a chance!

Have a great one!
