Hubby's away, the girls were in school, I had my Chai Latte (with whip) and I walked through HomeSense.
Just walked.
Slooooooooowly.
Looking at EVERY SINGLE ITEM - with no interruptions, no requests for stuff, no nagging about not spending money.
Just me, my tea and time.
I am a happy girl - I think I'll coast on these happiness endorphins until at least 3:30 (when everyone comes home).
Okay, on to my before and after….
This was a sideboard I purchased for $35.
It was scratched, dented, beat up and even had a cigarette burn in the top.
I definitely overpaid.
It needed a lot of TLC in the way of stripping and sanding.
I think you'll agree she turned out pretty nicely;
I even sanded the inside of the drawers so that there was no cigarette smell residue. Just fresh wood scent.
How about a little before and after action?
I apologize for the photo quality.
This was something I did last year, and I hadn't figured out the 'auto focus' button yet.
I'm nearsighted - so without auto focus telling me that things aren't quite right - I just assume it's my poor eyesight.
A good thing about being near-sighted is that if you hate wearing your glasses (as I do), then when you finally do, it's as though life has suddenly been turned on in high-def!
Poor Hubby won't be able to sell me on the need for an HD TV! lol
This aging thing isn't for the humourless!
Have a great one!
