Eyebrow DDIY - Don't Do It Yourself!

I wax my eyebrows.
There, my TMI hygiene practice is out there for the world to critique.

To be honest, I'm doing the world a favour.  The evolution of my genes may have reverted back a step or two and more closely reflects that of this stage:

My brow was thick.

Not one to prolong the pain by fastidiously plucking and tweezing; I decided in my early twenties to have it waxed (and separated).    One fell swoop!

I didn't know what shape I wanted, or the proper technique to ask for - so I said "Give me two" and left it at that.

Over the years this technique has lead to my brows becoming thinner and thinner.  Not so much that I've had to draw them back on again, but not that perfect arch and thickness that is all the rage:

Instead I look like this:

Not horrendous thanks to the amazing talents of Helen McMillan who managed to airbrush out the other chins that  reside on my face - but you have to agree - the brows are disappearing.

So, I "Googled" (unbelievable that that word has actually become a verb?!) eyebrows and came across the site E.L.F. (EyesLipsFace.com) site "where beauty ships free" - if you live in the continental U.S.A.
Here I discovered the "Essential Eyebrow Stencil Kit" for $1.00!  (plus $8.95 shipping to Canada)

You know I had to.

I mean, the word ESSENTIAL is right in the product name - like food, water, shelter and a brow kit - ESSENTIAL.

Perfect eyebrows were being shipped to my doorstep!

Today I tried them on!

First you have to hold this little vinyl-type stencil over your existing brow and then colour in any blank spots with an eyebrow pencil.

I coloured in the whole thing.
One side done so you can see a before and after:
Both sides... Look out Brooke Shields!
Maybe my eyebrows weren't so bad after all?

I think the girls have a better idea....

This post is not endorsed by E.L.F. or the Essential Eyebrow Kit manufacturers.
The results of this testing are a reflection of the talents of the make-up artist herself as well as her canvas, and not the quality of the product itself.

On the upside - we're all ready for "Movember"
