Kim's Energy Balls

For YOU, my readers, I have a secret recipe created by the the Executive Chef for Budweiser Gardens.

We're talking a real chef, in a monster venue and a finger-licking, HEALTHY recipe.

I bring you…..


Kim's Energy Balls!

as in balls that will give you energy and not vice versa - although she does cook for the London Knights hockey team - so there's probably some truth to the second version as well.

Health food is foreign to me, so I had to hit Bulk Barn to get the ingredients.




You will need:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins
  • 1/4 cup almonds, pumpkin or sunflower seeds
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup honey or nutella


Directions:

Mix all ingredients together.



Then let sit in the fridge for 30 minutes.



Roll into balls and store in an airtight container.
Keep refrigerated.



These are FANTASTIC - and I'm a processed, over-sugared, junk food addict.
While I was rolling these into balls, Hubby cleaned out about 6 of them - so I think he agrees.
