Scrumptious Skor Trifle

This recipe isn't original.

There's probably 20 different versions of it online and all of them are to-die-for, but I needed to make a dessert for our Canada Day Street Party on Tuesday so I thought I'd photograph it and share in case you haven't seen it before.

Scrumptious Skor Trifle

You will need:

1 box chocolate cake mix
1 box chocolate pudding
1 container cool whip
3-4 Skor chocolate bars (finely chopped)

Directions:

Bake cake as per directions on box.

Make pudding as per directions on box.

Once cake has cooled, cut it into 1 inch squares.

Part of my cake stuck to the pan, but with trifle it doesn't matter!  Plus, Maddie and I got to taste-test the cake - it's a win-win! lol

Layer cake cubes, pudding, cool whip and skor pieces.

Repeat until your dish is full.

BIG hit.

One cake mix should give you enough to make two trifles (unless you have a huge trifle dish), so we bought extra pudding, chocolate bars and cool whip so we could have one for the pot luck and one for home.

Then we let the kids run wild to burn off all of the sugar!

Happy Belated Canada Day and Happy early 4th of July!

Have a great one!
