Home Tour - Master Bedroom

I thought I'd continue the tour today with the Master Bedroom.

You've seen it before because most of the pieces in it are projects I've already posted...
For example the wrought iron looking art piece above the bed.

I think I did a post where I showed how I changed the paint colour on the walls from an ugly olive to Benjamin Moore's  Chelsea Gray.

The chair is a reclining La-z-Boy that I found on Kijiji for $50!
It's my little reading nook when it isn't covered with Hubby's laundry.

Below shows the little vestibule that leads to our ensuite to the right and our closet to the left.  The mirrored door you see in the photo is the linen closet I posted the other day.

We planned it this way so that one of us could get ready in the morning and close off the closet and bathroom completely so as not to wake the other.

Hubby came up with the layout and I love it.

The open door you see on the right is the bedroom door and opens to the hallway.
I changed up a couple of photos here.  The first two were taken in the summer, so the natural daylight is so much better.
The others I took the other day and had to rely on less light - so I apologize for the exposure and colour changes.

This wall houses the standing bookcase I made from the top part of a dining cabinet.  That before and after was posted here.
Finally, I have my mirrored desk next to the window with the cork board I posted here.

The exercise ball chair was a Christmas gift and is supposed to help with my core strength while I'm at my desk blogging.  I'll get back to you with a review.

I'm not really a stuffed animal girl, but the two you see in the photos (here and above) are ones that the girls received as gifts, but they never played with.  They were just too cute to donate so I've adopted them.

That's it!
Nothing extravagant or opulent - but real and mine.
What more could you ask for?

Have a great one!
