They haven't shown a particular interest in art, but they do love to craft, so I thought they might have fun.
Fun was an understatement!
They LOVED this camp.
It was 3 hours a day (9 until noon) and each day they learned - without realizing it - about form, texture, composition, colour and technique.
I got an amazing pile of art that I was dying to frame up.
I know Ikea sells inexpensive frames, but I live about 2 hours away from the nearest Ikea, and they won't ship frames - UGH!
On the upside, I did find this amazing company that will do the frames and mats AND ship them to your door.
I ordered my frames and they arrived within a week - which is ideal for impatient me - and I set to it.
(Ignore the fact that these mats are too small - I stupidly ordered the wrong size. I am pleased to say that even though it was totally my fault, Craig's Frames refunded me for the wrong mats and sent me the correct ones within days.)

Now I have this amazing gallery down my staircase and the girls are so proud.
Have a great one!
Shelly,
ReplyDeleteGreat job matching your kids beautiful artwork with frames and matting that complimented their talents. The completed frames look great on your walls. I work for Craig Frames and I love seeing great images and feedback like this from our customers. I'm glad you found us and that you are happy with the product you received. We definitely appreciate the business and that you gave us a nice mention on your blog!!! Hopefully your daughters continue in their artistic adventures. Their work here is quite impressive! Great job girls! I have a 1-year-old and can't wait to start framing her works of art. For now we just fill our walls with framed photos that I've taken of her!
