Bulk Birthday Buying

My girls are incredibly fortunate to have a wonderful, and large, group of friends.

This means that we have a lot of birthday parties to go to.

This means that Mommy would have to go shopping almost weekly to keep up with them all...

IF she weren't so amazingly organized!

I do birthdays in "bulk".

I try to come up with a gift that has universal appeal.
Something that everyone will like, and then I buy a dozen.

2012 was the year of the "Craft Bag".

The bag itself was the main part of the gift.
This is the "Littles Carry-all Caddy" from Thirty-One:
Littles Carry-all Caddy
 Inside it I put:
  1. Scissors
  2. Glue
  3. Construction paper
  4. Coloured popsicle sticks
  5. Craft feathers
  6. Pipe cleaners
  7. Craft Poms
  8. Googly eyes
  9. Crayons
  10. Paint
  11. Paintbrushes
  12. Markers
  13. Glitter
  14. Rhinestones
  15. Stickers
Believe it or not, most of these items were available at my local Dollarama!

I figured the sum total for each of these craft baskets was about $30.

I made 24 this year and am down to my last 3, with 3 birthday parties in the next two weeks.

I keep them all ready in the basement, so that as each party comes up, we can just grab a gift and go.

It worked out perfectly!

Check back tomorrow for my 2013 gifts.

  1. Great gift idea! The more I read your blog...the more and more I wish I had a girl to copy some of your 'girl' ideas. Haha. LH.
