The Best Toy You WON'T Buy Your Kids

I was driving home the other day and there was a delivery truck outside of a neighbour's house.

He had giant empty boxes at the end of the driveway that he was breaking down to put back onto the truck for recycling.

I couldn't stop myself - this looked like too much fun - so I stopped and asked if he would mind giving me a couple of boxes.

The kindness of strangers!

They are about the size of a washer and dryer I think (lucky neighbour!).

Lucky kids!

We sat down and decorated it to be our "Minecraft Headquarters".

Like all good Minecraft Headquarters we needed a garden, window box, Creeper and…

Skylight!

We/they spent the entire afternoon colouring the boxes and decorating the inside.

We even had a campout that night - Mommy got the couch nearby and the girls fell asleep inside watching Minecraft videos on their iPad.

Best money I never spent!
