Better late than never right?
I enrolled to take a workshop in Collingwood (my belated Mother's Day gift to myself) and I decided that since I haven't been away from my kids in over 2 years (save for 3 days each summer when they're with Grandma) - I had earned a brief, but decadent, weekend getaway.
London to Collingwood is about a three hour drive, so I thought it might be a nice time to take the back roads and actually enjoy the scenery:
I believe it was in Listowel that I saw this hand-carved bench.
I'm not going to lie - any town that announces that their population is "High - Healthy - Happy" is a place I'd like to live!
Perhaps they just think they're happy and healthy because they're high? lol

Some - not so much;
I travelled some interesting roads:
these are hand-painted chairs - they are located throughout downtown Collingwood and are just spectacular.
I squeezed in a couple of adventures (more on that tomorrow), then a little mani and all of my unread books in MY quiet, clean, quiet hotel room.
I can't say that I feel rested - it was a lot of driving and busy-ness - but I do feel rejuvenated.
I may have to make an effort to do this more often.
