Mompreneurs

The name of the group says it all really.

Mom first, entrepreneur second - combined together to make Super-woman!

I mean really, if it isn't hard enough being a Mom, you throw in a career/work

and these women have thrown something extra in to their already crazy mix;

A leap of faith in shaping their own destiny.

Strong women.

Creative women.

Inspiring women.
London Mompreneurs

"Mompreneurs is a group of dedicated business women striving to promote and excel the businesses of other femail entrepreneurs in our community. Our members come from different walks of life, with unique talents and gifts, yet this amazing diversity still has one common ground – they are all Mompreneurs – bringing their best to serve their community and each other while balancing their duties as moms."

I recently 'joined' the London chapter of Mompreneurs in the hopes of offering ad space on the blog to select businesses.

I left my first meeting with dozens of business cards of products and services that I didn't even know were out there.

I left feeling motivated.

Inspired.

Aspiring to greatness - knowing there's help available from fellow Moms and Entrepreneurs to support me.

Women that understand that being a Mom is the most important thing in life.

That a sick child is more important than a post-mortem  corporate meeting.
This flu-ridden child will be the one heading those same meetings one day.

That making a living, does not have to be what makes your life.

I am not in any way, shape or form suggesting quitting your day job.  I too work outside of this blog to bring in an (albeit small) income...

But if there's something in life that you're good at, or that you'd like to try, or create or develop further - there is a group that will help support you with advice, services, camaraderie and most of all motivation to push you to the next level.

Take a hobby and turn it into a small business.

Take your skill set, and market it for yourself.

You never know?

Maybe someday you will be able to quit that day job.

This is not a paid post - this is truly my experience and opinion.

The Mompreneurs have chapters all across Canada; in Barrie, Brampton, Etobicoke, Guelph, Halton, Hamilton, Kitchener/Waterloo, London, Markham, Milton, Mississauga, Newmarket, Oakville, Orangeville, Sarnia, Toronto, Vaughan and Windsor.

Find your group here… or start a chapter of your own!

  1. I have been to a London Mompreneur lunch meeting as well and found Sara quite inviting. The group is a fabulous idea. Perhaps I will see you at a meeting in the future!
