Muriel's Shrimp Dip

Hubby and I have been together for about 13 years.

In all that time, I have only indulged in my Mother-in-Law's Shrimp Dip twice.

Once at the beginning of our relationship, and then again last year.

It's not that I didn't like her shrimp dip.

It's because the rest of the family sees it out and then pounces.

Like wolves over a succulent lamb.

Like PMS'ing women over chocolate.

Like me over... (the list here would be too long.)

You get the idea - Ravenous!

Well, the girls are at school right now and Hubby is at work... so I made a batch all for myself!

 Ingredients:

1 brick cream cheese
1 small container sour cream
1 container cocktail sauce
1 can cocktail shrimp
2 stalks of celery
1 bunch green onions
1 tomato
Shredded mozzarella or cheddar

Directions:

Cream together the cream cheese and sour cream

Layer on the cocktail sauce and shrimp babies.

I have to pause here and show you my Tupperware Quick Chef.

We use this contraption for everything.

Just put your veggies in;
 Add the lid and then turn the handle a few times (the more you turn it the finer things will be chopped).
 Perfect!  In less than 5 seconds!
 Even tomatoes!
 Then, all the pieces go into the dishwasher!

Just had to share my greatest-ever-kitchen-gadget.
Which is on sale right now here!

We now resume regular programming;

Layer on the veggies
 And the cheese;
 Then eat away!
Muriel (my MIL) serves it with vegetable crackers.

The cocktail sauce gives it a bit of tang and the onions give it a bit of a kick.

Well family wolf-pack - you're going to have to add one more to the yearly foray!

Love you Muriel!

Have a great one!
