I had a bare section of wall that I needed to fill.
want + need + ability to copy = TP ironwork!
I cut paper towel rolls down to 1" pieces.
Folded each piece flat and then glued 4 pieces together like an 'X'.
Make a bunch of 'X's', then glue them altogether.
$6.95 for the paint, $1.29 for the hot glue.
Not a bad deal eh?
I've seen some comments online that say "it's gross to use TP rolls" - I'd just like to point out that the roll itself doesn't get dirty during use.
In fact, the paper doesn't get dirty until after it's off the roll and well on it's way to completing it's job. (pun totally intended).

You did a great job, looks fantastic. I guess I know what I'll be making with all of the toilet paper /paper towel rolls I've been saving. Did you use scissors and how did you attach it to your wall? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYes, just plain old scissors. Your hand will get tired after awhile, so it's probably a project that will take a couple/few sessions.
DeleteTo hang, I just put a few finishing nails in a row and the hung the piece by the loops. You'll need a couple of nails in the middle or the centre section will droop.
