Mirrored Desk

I was planning on showing a DIY project today, but I was too excited to show off my "new" desk!
This is actually just a "new-to-me" desk.

I found it on Kijiji and it was all wood - well, except the top;  the top of it was glass, but the previous owner must have smashed it because she sold it to me 'as-is' without a top at all.
I didn't care though - I had plans for this baby!

I loved the style of it, I loved the line of the legs...

I loved that it was only $10.

I know there are tutorials out there for mirroring your own furniture, but I have no luck with glass.
You don't want to know the number of panes I've broken this last year - this was a project best left to the professionals.

I made a deal with Hubby that if I sold all of the other pieces in the garage I would use the profits to go towards having this desk mirrored.

I sold the stuff.

I got my mirrors!

I will admit, I wanted the outside of the legs mirrored as well - but to have the angles cut and smoothed to that arched shape would have cost a fortune.

I've got it all stocked with the only barest desk essentials.

Is there such a thing as a furniture-fetish?

Say if you have more desks than people living in the house?

 ...
Have a great one!
