A Little Girl's Bedroom

Or I guess I should say a "Big Girl" room since we changed it up.

When Chloë was a baby she never cried.

Never.

She bounced, she smiled, she snuggled - but never cried.
So we called her our "Gentle Bunny".

I decided that her room needed a mural (or two) in that theme, and we found an amazing artist that was able to replicate Nutbrown Hare from the "Guess How Much I Love You" books.

This was one of the murals:

Isn't it fantastic?!

So when it came time to change things up for her big girl room - I wasn't willing to give up MY mural.

The wall colour is a sort of salmon or perhaps you'd call it coral?

So what do you do with that?

I thought about putting up frames around the murals and then just painting outside a different colour... but again, I still needed something that would compliment the coral?

I found this photo on Houzz.com:
Coral and aqua - perfect!!

Became this:

and this:
had the window wall lightened up to this:
My second mural was saved and went from this:
To this:

I don't know that my photos really do the room  justice, but the new cooler aqua colour has really lightened and brightened the room.

The room's somewhat grown-up, whether or not I'm ready for my baby to be.

Funny Cry for Help Ecard: I am completely convinced that there is sensor in my sofa that alerts the men and children in my home of the exact moment I sit down.

Have a great one!
