We sing it through the house when we're looking for him - "My Man... Mi-lo".
He comes too!
This boy is AMAZING!
We've had cats in the past, but I've always gravitated towards calicos. They were just so pretty - if stand-offish and temperamental.
We've had 3 - Marmalade, Strawberry and Tigger - and all three were one-person-pets. Tigger went so far as to pee on Hubby's bath mat daily to let him know he wasn't welcome. lol

I had heard that orange tabby's were the way to go. As a general rule - calicos tend to be female and orange tabbies tend to be male. I was hesitant - nervous about the rumours of males spraying.
I decided to take a chance in February and I posted an ad on Kijiji.
I got some responses - rescues, feral cats, new kittens (which I was against because of the potential "love mauling" my children would give it).
Finally, St. Thomas Animal Control called me and said that they had cat #349 available if I wanted to meet him.
We went out same-day.
#349 came home with us.
We named him Milo after the orange tabby in the movie
"The Adventures of Milo and Otis" with Dudley Moore.
He seemed to be the same kind of mischief-maker.

I can't believe anyone would EVER give him up?
This boy is absolutely fantastic and a real testament to trying a "rescue".
Even Hubby is a cat-lover now...
or at least he loves Milo.
Update: I wrote this post last week (July 23rd-ish)... since then we (the girls and I) decided Milo needed a little buddy...
Meet 12-week-old "Otis"!
Next up - we need a PUPPY!!!
Have a great one!
Geez, Shell another one?!
