As much as I've been posting organizational and DIY projects, in the background we've been checking off items on our Summer fun list.
Each morning I ask the girls which item/s they want to do that day and we do it! I am trying to space out the ones that involve a cost with the ones that don't, and here's what we've accomplished so far;
If you're attempting a version of this, I'll help you out with an easy one...
For the Scavenger Hunt we put the alphabet around the edge of a paper plate and snipped between each letter.
Forgive my letter spacing, but you get the idea.
Our scavenger hunt was inside the house on a rainy day, but it could be a backyard hunt, a neighbourhood hunt, a bedroom hunt... anything. (I did allow them 'X' as a freebie)
They started to lose interest about half-way through, but when I announced a chocolate bar as the grand prize - they hunted with renewed vigour.
Fun for them, an hour of peace for me!
BTW - HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMPA!
