Some because of how inexpensively I bought them and/or how quickly I was able to 'flip' them.
Some because of the amount of work involved and the results achieved.
Some - and these are my favourites - because of how they've been repurposed.
This is one of those.
I mean, I think you'd call this "re-purposed"?
Kind of?
My daughter has a small bedroom. 11' by 12', but with a funny jut out into the room.
She has a small closet as well.
Between her bed, a dresser, a bookshelf and a desk, there isn't much room left for her to play.
So I
and this (not so) beautiful dresser came up on Kijiji.
Not particularly feminine. Big and cumbersome.... but solid wood.
The kind of dresser you can't afford to buy anymore... unless it's the $30 Kijiji kind.
So I redid it to fit my needs;
By removing the centre section of drawers and inserting an MDF shelf, I was able to give her a bookshelf right inside the dresser.
I left one drawer intact to act as a toybox!
Is that called 'killing 3 birds with one stone'?
Now with Pinterest as my inspiration, you know I couldn't waste the cupboard doors...
I added a couple of $3 handles and turned it into a serving tray.
The extra drawers I added castors to and turned them into under bed storage.
The girls got to refinish these themselves:
It's kind of like eating the turkey and then using the bones to make soup...
All the bits were used up!
