Before and After - Clock Dresser

Remember when I said there are certain projects that I'm really proud of?

This is one of them.

1. because I was able to get the dresser for $10 at a garage sale
2. because the finished product is gorgeous and
3. because it was something I hadn't tried before.  (I get a kick out of experiments that work.)

Meet "Clock Dresser" before:

Scuffed, scratched, scruffy... but wood - and that meant it had potential!

A little sanding,
A little priming
and then I got out my Benjamin Moore: Revere Pewter
and A SHARPIE!

Yup, I drew on the clock face with a SHARPIE!

Here's "Clock Dresser" after:

I did have to put a couple of coats of poly on to seal the image and the paint, but I think you'll agree it was worth a bit of work.

A $10 find sold for $180!
